This process typically takes around 1-2 hours per inch (2.5 cm) in diameter. Allowing a full melt pool prevents tunneling, a condition where the wax doesn't melt evenly, leaving unused wax on the sides. A full melt pool also helps set the memory of the candle, ensuring a more even burn in subsequent uses.

• Avoid Drafts: Candles are sensitive to air movement, so ensure they are placed in a draft-free area. Drafts can cause uneven burning, flickering flames, and a shorter lifespan. Avoid positioning candles near open windows, fans, or high-traffic areas where there is a constant breeze.
